Job descriptions/ responsibilities:
Responsible for human resources planning and staffing. Make sure that the hotel has the people they need in the required positions in a timely manner.
2. Develop Human Resources strategic plan in alignment with the hotel’s business plan.
3. Work closely with all department heads to manage the HR department & employee relationship in order to ensure the maximum productivity within the Hotel’s budget limitations. It means keeping jobs filled and employees motivated through the Hotel’s compensation, benefits, and communication activities.
4. Develop and implement competitive compensation program within the budget restrictions of the hotel. Ensure the program includes objective and defensible elements for job evaluation and a salary program that includes internal fairness and external competitiveness in hospitality industry. Administer compensation and benefits, and develop recognition programs that motivate, reward and retain staff.
5. Maintain competitive benefit programs for the hotel. Manage the day-to-day benefits activity throughout the organization in current manner. Ensure timely resolution of benefits claims and employee requests. Ensure compliance and fair application of corporate, legal and hotel human resources policies and procedures.
6. Work closely with other department heads to develop needed management or other business-related training programs.
7. Be able to design and implement employee communications program in order to ensure ongoing, positive up and down communications throughout the organization.
8. Manage the development and implementation of the hotel’s affirmative action program. Ensure the program is updated annually and that all supervisors and directors receive the training they need to comply with the spirit and the letter of the company's affirmative action program.
9. Maintain a current working knowledge of all PRC and local laws as they pertain to the HR function in order to ensure compliance in a timely manner.
10. Maintain all personnel policies, procedures, and employee handbook in a current manner. Write and rewrite policies as needed. The policies and procedures are meant to assist supervisors and directors in getting their jobs done as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
11. Provide guidance and expertise to employees, supervisors and department heads in the management of the total human resources of the organization in a positive, flexible and competent manner. Responsible for encouraging the growth and development of HR staff.
Job requirements: Requirements
- At least 10 years working experience for the same post in hospitality industry.
- Educational minimum requirement : Degree holder in Human Resources Management
- Must able to conduct and design the related basic training to the staff.
- Must be good in English and Malay, Mandarin speaking is an added advantage.
- Must be Malaysian, preferably local.
- Must possess driving license.
